On 8 June 2025: The latest DLC for Age of Mythology: Retold, called Heavenly Spear, was announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2025. The downloadable content will see the Japanese pantheon move into the game, with 12 new gods with their own unique powers, a 12-mission campaign starring Yasuko, Far Eastern architecture and units (Kitsune, Shinigami, Tengu, Samurai, Shinobi). The release is still scheduled for fall 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. ¹ ²
