Grand Theft Auto VI tells the story of Jason and Lucia in America's fun capital, Vice City. Jason is a veteran of the military who grew up among crooks and grifters. Wanting an easy life, he found himself in the Keys and found himself close to the underworld, working for drug dealers. Lucia's life has been a constant struggle: her father taught her to fight from the time she started walking. But fighting for her family soon landed her in Leonida prison. Here she found the sheer luck that became the key to her release. However, the meeting of Jason and Lucia turned their lives upside down - both wanting a better, carefree life, but an easy score went wrong and they found themselves in the darkest part of the sunny world of Vice City, at the centre of a sprawling criminal organisation. Forced to rely entirely on each other for survival.
But that doesn't mean they're on their own: they have the help of Jason's buddy Cal Hampton, a paranoid silent sidekick who is naturally most at home in his own home, constantly monitoring the Coast Guard's communications. His genius and madness are the key to Jason and Lucai's plan.
As the story unfolds, an important character becomes Boobie Ike, an underworld money launderer, a legitimate businessman who has forged legitimate businesses out of his drug money: a strip club, real estate and a recording studio. The man himself is all smiles as long as it's not about business: financial security is a given, but he's focused on his partnership with an up-and-coming music mogul, Dre'Quan, to achieve breakthrough success and recognition. And that's where Dre'Quan Priest comes in, who, although more hustler than gangster, has always dreamed of making it in music, despite working on the dark side of the street. However, his contract with Real Dimez means he'll be able to follow Boobie into the high-stakes scene in Vice City.
Real Dimez is a formation formed by Bae-Luxe and Roxy. The girls have been friends since high school, together through thick and thin, who are known for discrediting local dealers, performing spicy rap songs and posting viral videos on social media. They have made a name for themselves with a local rapper DWNPLY, but the real breakthrough success is yet to come, which they hope will come from a deal with Only Raw Records, in which Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest could play a major role.
Beyond the world of partying, Jason and Lucia will also get to know the darker side. Raul Bautista is a confident, cunning and charming bank robber who keeps upping the ante with his experienced gang, but they are planning a big score. Brian Heder is a senior drug smuggler who, with his third wife Lori, continues to work the Keys, but mostly working for others. Jason lives in one of his properties, which comes with responsibilities: in addition to the obligatory family visits, he also takes part in local raids.
Beyond the people, the locations will be varied: from the ever-buzzing and party-filled Vice City to the beautiful and dangerous waters of the tropical Leonida Keys, the alligator- and swamp-filled Grassrivers, the cheap motel- and strip-mall-filled but business-rich Port Gellhorn, the industrial neighborhood of Ambrosia, and the northern frontier of Mount Kalaga National Park, a world of nature, hunting, fishing and off-road racing.

[2025-05-02]: Take-Two Interactive Software has announced that the release originally planned for the fall will not happen, Grand Theft Auto VI will skip the fiscal year 2026 and will not arrive until 2027, 25 May 2026 to be exact.

[2025-05-06]: Rockstar Games has released the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving us a glimpse into the backstory of the twisted story.

"Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them.
